I am so excited to be sharing my new book with you all! In this blog, I’ll share the introduction of the book, and also some of the reviews I have received on Amazon with you. First and foremost, however, I’ll answer a couple of questions that I have been asked lately regarding this work…
“What inspired you to write such a book?”
“I think I’m not alone in saying that I grew up believing I was someone and something that I’m not! After much trial and error in my young life, and experiencing many ups and downs, I reached an all-time low in the year 2010. After indulging in drug and alcohol binges for almost a decade prior to my breakdown, I was finally blessed with a clear vision as I regained my sovereignty.
The divine experience which led to my drug addictions, literally falling off me overnight will be a tale for another time, literally speaking, as it’s the first chapter of my upcoming Sci-fi novel, Blue Orca: Awakening.
After realigning with my integrity, and seeing many around me still immersed in the same patterns that I was fortunate enough to break free from thanks to divine intercession, I felt driven to share this life-changing information with the world. My hope is to inspire, and prove to people that no matter how much of a deep hole they’ve dug themselves into, they can always climb back out! If I can do it, anyone can!”
“Why do you believe this book is important in our present society?”
That’s a fantastic question, but take a look around you. Do you see the state of society right now? There’s war, racism, sexism, homophobia, starvation of entire nations, apathy, I could go on forever. But why are these vices predominate in our society? Mainly because the beliefs which form the basis of them are predominant within most individuals.
The key to changing the world isn’t to try and change society, but to show willing and receptive souls that change is possible by living as an example in our own truth. This particular book will be helpful because it will assist the individual in becoming conscious of their social conditioning in which they’re probably most likely unaware of.
The unconscious mind is full of beliefs, definitions and misperceptions that we’re not conscious of, hence why it is called the unconscious mind. Bringing the unconscious into conscious awareness through the correct methods of introspection, presence and meditation is the key to transcending its habitual processes.
There are various forms of meditations and techniques in the book which can help people make peace with their past so they can live in the present without their memories distorting their perception of it. I believe wisdom is nothing but healed pain. Once a person transmutes all the subdivisions and negative beliefs in themselves, they no longer reinforce any of the separations we see in our present society. Wholeness within oneself helps reinforce the great Commandment of Master Yeshua, “To love thy neighbour as thyself“, because ultimately, they are thyself.
Introduction to The Labyrinth: Rewiring the Nodes in the Maze of your Mind
The Labyrinth: Rewiring the Nodes in the Maze of your Mind is not a book you read from cover to cover and then just forget all about. This is a book you take with you everywhere you go. When a challenging circumstance manifests in your day-to-day life, or if you simply need to be reminded of a concept you resonate with that is encoded within this book, read the section relevant to what has manifested in your life at that moment. My hope is that this book will be a companion for you throughout your awakening process until you no longer need to use it.
I will redefine many spiritual and philosophical concepts I believe have been misunderstood by most in our present society. There are two ways to define an idea: either positively or negatively. In The Labyrinth, I shall offer a new perspective on the concepts which have been defined negatively into perspectives that can prove beneficial to one’s overall psychological and spiritual development. This, in turn, will enable them to dissolve the limitations they believe have been inflicted upon them as a result of their previous experiences.
The majority of the people in our society are copying and conditioning one another in a fear-based way. As a result of this, they have bought into countless negative beliefs about themselves that reside in the dark tomb of their unconscious mind. People often choose to perpetuate the behaviour that is in alignment with these beliefs and out of alignment with their integrity, mainly because everyone around them is doing the same; monkey see, monkey do.
Over time, people become conditioned in a negative way and this negative conditioning fabricates a Labyrinth of misery and pain in their mind. When a person aligns their perception with these negative perspectives, they tangle up their personality and lose their sense of individuality. Buying into negative beliefs only generates a negative attitude toward life and having such an attitude only creates a negative physical reality experience for the individual.
My hope is that this book can assist you in redefining these outdated perspectives. I will highlight the limiting ways in which our society views certain spiritual topics and ideas, and then offer a new perspective on each concept. Redefining these perspectives will not only serve you in the process of becoming your authentic self but will also enable you to assist the collective in transforming our society as a whole.
We`re capable of changing our perspectives at any time, but most only change on an unconscious level, when life unexpectedly throws a wrench at them, for example. It often requires a dreadful experience to convince a person that change is necessary. With this book, however, my goal is to assist people in bringing their unconsciousness into conscious awareness. People can change without being forced to by a terrible circumstance or event, they just need to believe they can.
This book is designed with a specific goal in mind: to transform the automatic programmes in the subconscious and unconscious levels of mind people have inherited from their previous experiences. During the ages of zero to six, children`s brains are significantly more receptive to their environment than during adulthood. Resembling a sponge, children absorb belief systems, ideas, as well as patterns of emotion and behaviour from those who raised them, and those whom they spent the most time with as they were growing up. As a result of this, their family, friends, school teachers, and ultimately everyone in their society have contributed in conditioning them to fit in with the society in which they have chosen to incarnate.
“A third story concerns the plasticity of the youthful mind. I heard my mother remark occasionally: ‘A man who accepts a job under anyone is a slave.’ That impression became so indelibly fixed that even after my marriage I refused all positions. I met expenses by investing my family endowment in land. Moral: Good and positive suggestions should instruct the sensitive ears of children. Their early ideas long remain sharply etched.”
– Sri Yukteswar (Autobiography of a Yogi)
No one is to blame here, this book isn’t about pointing the finger at others, as it was you who chose the society you were to be born into before you incarnated here. The limitations you have inherited from others are the challenges you have agreed to overcome while you’re on the earth in this incarnation or in other words, they are in your karmic blueprint. You have come to this beautiful planet to play the game of self-discovery, to unveil your light from within the depths of darkness, forgetfulness, limitation, and illusion. The entirety of this experience is self-imposed on a level of consciousness your mind cannot fathom right now. Acceptance of this truth, however, can work wonders for you in your life.
Repetition programmes the subconscious mind as well as your body. For example, you don’t have to think about how to open the refrigerator door because you have done it so many times that it has become automatic to you. This is one of the functions of the subconscious mind, and it’s not a bad thing in and of itself. The subconscious also contains automatic thought and emotional patterns which have a huge effect on not only your behaviour but also what kind of experiences you bring into manifestation.
The reprogramming of the subconscious becomes a challenge, however, when a person develops a whirlwind of automatic negative emotional and behavioural patterns. Many simply don’t know how to change these automatic processes.
“Our thoughts are mainly controlled by our subconscious, which is largely formed before the age of six, and you cannot change the subconscious mind by just thinking about it. That’s why the power of positive thinking will not work for most people. The subconscious mind is like a tape player. Until you change the tape, it will not change.”
– Dr Bruce H, Lipton PhD
The programmes in the unconscious mind are the belief systems you have bought into about yourself and life in general. Thoughts and feelings are only a reflection of what you believe to be most true about yourself. Fundamentally, it`s your belief systems that must be changed if you desire to start behaving and perceiving differently.
I don’t expect you to agree with everything I have written in this book, quite simply because life is a matter of perspective. We all see some things differently, and that’s all well and good. What you do agree with, however, I want you to memorise until the knowledge penetrates your subconscious mind. Memorise the perspectives to such an extent that you won’t even have to read the book again in order to apply the knowledge to the circumstance at hand.
For example, a circumstance manifests in your life that generates feelings such as depression, sadness or anger. Instead of reacting to the situation in the same old panicky fashion in which you have become accustomed to, respond to the challenge with awareness, consciousness and excitement. All challenges are opportunities for expansion and growth. As soon as you’re able to, open this book and read the sections about emotions, beliefs, challenges and so on. Read the sections that are relevant unto the circumstance at hand. After you have read the relevant sections, put the book down and apply the ideas that you resonate with to your life at that moment.
Borrowed knowledge from books cannot really teach anyone anything. The perspectives in this book are merely doorways of opportunity for you to have the experience adjacent to them for yourself. When you do finally learn how to apply this knowledge to your life, the knowledge you have memorised from this book will become your own wisdom. Knowing and doing are one and the same; there’s no point in just memorising this knowledge on the level of the intellect and then not applying it to your life. The application of the knowledge is everything,
“Let us not love in words or speech, but with actions and in truth.”
– John 3:18
You’re already everything you desire to be, you just don’t believe you are. This book isn’t about becoming anything, it is more to do with letting go of those components that contradict your true nature. In doing so, the light and joy innate to the core of your being can shine without anything to obstruct it. Be ready to embrace your innate perfection.
This book may seem repetitive, but that’s because I want to drill this knowledge into your brain and subconscious. Eventually, you will come to know this book inside out. The more you memorise the knowledge, the more you will be able and willing to put it into practice. Memorisation of the knowledge is an important aspect of the doing process.
I also want to personally extend my appreciation to you all for having the courage to not only face that which contradicts your true nature but also to be brave enough to express it. With love and appreciation, I hope you find this book beneficial to your overall spiritual development.
“This book is a must-read for anyone who is a spiritual seeker in any way and living in any society. The ideas expressed so beautifully in this masterpiece serve as a sort of handbook we can go back to when we need to be reminded of words of truth.”
“This book is so very simple yet brilliant at the same time….Believe me it can help guide you through some very difficult times….When the mind is working over time to bring us down if we pick up this book and use it for reference.. it will surely lighten our mental burdens….I have read many of Craig’s writings they are extremely heart felt…very touching…One might say his writings come purely from the power of Grace…. Happy reading!”
“This book is not to be taken lightly. Looks like an easy to get through book. And it’s simple enough to read and understand but if you really want these ideas to stick with you, you’ll need to read and re-read in order for it to get into your thinking. This is a book of practical wisdom. Money well spent 🙂 Can’t say enough good things about this book.”
